In 2014 he was elected to the Cameron County Commissioners Court.
He attended Rice University in Houston and graduated with a BA in Political Science . At Rice he was a member of the George R. Brown Forensics Society, Rice Players, and the Justice Court.
After Rice he joined the Garland school district, where is taught Texas History, Reading, English and ESL.
Three years later he entered the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. There he received the Mueller Award for the most outstanding oral advocate.
After law school joined the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office.
Afterwards, he opened up the Law Offices of Alejandro Dominguez.
He is a formal board member and president of the Los Diez Education Foundation which provides scholarships for first generation college students.
Alex and his wife,Jill have a son and two wonderful rescue dogs.
